Meet Dr. Halle
I would like to take a moment to introduce myself and let you all know I have joined the Riveredge Dentistry family in July 2013. It is such an exciting time for me to start my career after planning on being a dentist for so long. I am currently living in Ohio City with my husband Max Gibson. We were married November 2013! I love going to Indians games, reading, working in my garden, traveling, cooking (and eating even more!), and teeth of course!
Many of you I have already met since I was dental assisting in the Kamm's Corner location during the summer breaks of high school and college. While I spent part of my childhood in Westpark at OLA, my family moved to Valley City, Ohio (the frog jumping capital of Ohio!). I went to Buckeye High School where I participated in volleyball and mock trial. I then went to get my bachelor’s degree in Biology at Walsh University in North Canton. There, I was in many plays; the science club (who doesn’t like making ice cream from liquid nitrogen!?); worked in another dental office in the community; and spent a semester studying abroad in Rome. My dream finally came true when I got accepted into five dental schools my senior year. I chose to continue my education at Case Western Reserve School of Dental Medicine because I am a Cleveland girl at heart and they uniquely have their students begin seeing patients the very first semester!
At Case we were given a first rate education that included problem based learning, new treatment techniques, and a busy curriculum! There I participated in social and academic activities through my fraternity Delta Sigma Delta. I even had the opportunity to do a mission trip to Guatemala where 8 of my classmates and I spent a week doing fillings and extractions for the locals. Now I am thrilled to be able to share my expertise and passion with all of you! I currently work at my office in North Ridgeville, with Dr. Bill in the Kamm's Corner's office, and I also temp in Akron to gain more experience with emergency dentistry.
Gail has been in the dental field for a little over 3 decades! She has seen many changes in dentistry during her career and loves the new improvements. She wants you to know she loves meeting our patients and feels very compassionate for people receiving dental work, because unfortunately she can relate to your dental problems. Gail is able to personally answer questions about fillings, crowns, extractions, root canals, partials, flippers, and even implants. She can help you navigate through treatment options, insurance and financing, and scheduling you for your appointments in North Ridgeville.
Gail has one son and lives with her husband on a small farm in Wellington. They have a horse, three goats, 6 dogs, and numerous cats. Gail has a great sense of humor so come with jokes!
Gail retired in the summer of 2016, and she passed away in November 2016. We fondly remember her at our office.
Shirley has been working in the dental field for over 30 years as an office manager, dental assistant, and licensed radiologist. At Riveredge, she is a definite asset and can help patients with a variety of questions. She is very comfortable working with the patients and doctor. Her many years of experience allow her to enable the patients to feel comfortable and as ease with the dental team. She enjoys getting to know the families within our practice on a personal level and wants them to feel as little anxiety as possible. She believes communication and information about dental work helps with this, along with a gentle touch.
Shirley resides in North Olmstead where she has lived for most of her life. She is married and has two children and a dog. She has a passion for reading (taking suggestions!) and the beach. She also likes spending time with her family and friends, especially taking day trips with her mother and sister.
Monica is dental assistant, but more typically works the front desk helping patients with appointments, insurance, and billing. She began working at Riveredge two years ago when Mary retired. She is Dr. Bill's daughter and has been familiar with the dental office all her life. She also likes to keep busy, as she also works at Great Clips as a licensed cosmotologist. Monica enjoys spending time with her siblings playing games and baking. She also enjoys fitness, playing soccer, and concerts.
Lindsey joined the Riveredge family in July of 2017! She has just begun her career in dentistry after successfully completing the dental hygiene program at Lorain County Community College in May 2017. Lindsey always knew she wanted to be involved in the healthcare field and after her own hygienist suggested dental hygiene, she gave it a try and fell in love. Her favorite part of her job is getting to know her patients and creating great relationships so everyone can enjoy visiting the dentist! She also loves to educate her patients on the importance of oral health and how it can be improved and maintained!
Lindsey lives in Medina with her family, but is currently looking for a home of her own. She loves being outdoors and spending time with her dog, Jaxon and sometimes her boyfriend (Only Kidding). Since graduating she has taken advantage of the free time to start traveling and has visited San Diego, Nashville, New York and Charleston, with the hopes of continuing to check places off her bucket list.
