Kamm's Corners
Meet Dr. Bill
Dr. William Emerick Waters was the first dentist in the Waters family and started Riveredge Dentistry 35 years ago. Patients usually call him Dr. Bill. He lives with his wife, Ann, in West Park with their two dogs. Their children include David, who works with him at the office, Monica, a sister of the Mercedarian Order of the Blessed Sacrament, and Grace, a teacher at Our Lady of Mt Carmel, and Albert, who passed away in 2019.
Dr. Bill went to St. Edward High School where he was active in Eagle Scouts and a member of the band. After graduating and going to Baldwin Wallace College, he studied chemistry and played on the school's soccer team. He also kept busy by working on the school's newspaper. His father helped him realize that his talents, including an aptitude for science and desire to help people, may be useful in the field of dentistry. Dr. Bill attended dental school at The Ohio State University.
After working as an associate for a couple of years, he bought a small practice within the old Medic. Riveredge Dentistry was born and The Edge Plan was invented. Along with Kim and Diane, and later Dr. Mike, they began our family of dental offices, which now includes Dr Halle as well. As they grew, they moved to the current location and have been giving patients gentle, affordable, and caring dentistry ever since.
Dr. Bill keeps busy thanks to his family! He spent much of the last three years taking care of his parents, and now takes care of his wife and dogs. He takes his grandchildren on outings and loves to discuss philosophy and social issues with his children. He also acted as den leader in boy scouts and started a local, coed Sea Scouts troop. He is a great cook and gardens too. He is a parishioner at Our Lady of Mt Carmel.
Meet Dr. Halle
I would like to take a moment to introduce myself and let you all know I have joined the Riveredge Dentistry family in July 2013. It is such an exciting time for me to start my career after planning on being a dentist for so long. I am currently living in Ohio City with my husband Max Gibson. We were married November 2013! I love going to Indians games, reading, working in my garden, traveling, cooking (and eating even more!), and teeth of course!
Many of you I have already met since I was dental assisting in the Kamm's Corner location during the summer breaks of high school and college. While I spent part of my childhood in Westpark at OLA, my family moved to Valley City, Ohio (the frog jumping capital of Ohio!). I went to Buckeye High School where I participated in volleyball and mock trial. I then went to get my bachelor’s degree in Biology at Walsh University in North Canton. There, I was in many plays; the science club (who doesn’t like making ice cream from liquid nitrogen!?); worked in another dental office in the community; and spent a semester studying abroad in Rome. My dream finally came true when I got accepted into five dental schools my senior year. I chose to continue my education at Case Western Reserve School of Dental Medicine because I am a Cleveland girl at heart and they uniquely have their students begin seeing patients the very first semester!
At Case we were given a first rate education that included problem based learning, new treatment techniques, and a busy curriculum! There I participated in social and academic activities through my fraternity Delta Sigma Delta. I even had the opportunity to do a mission trip to Guatemala where 8 of my classmates and I spent a week doing fillings and extractions for the locals. Now I am thrilled to be able to share my expertise and passion with all of you! I currently work at my office in North Ridgeville, with Dr. Bill in the Kamm's Corner's office, and I also temp in Akron to gain more experience with emergency dentistry.
Meet David
David Waters is Dr Bill’s oldest son, Dr Halle’s cousin, and helps them both at Riveredge Dentistry as their dental assistant. He also helps our patients with their pressing insurance questions. He graduated from St Edward High School and Baldwin Wallace College, and lives in West Park with his wife, two children, and one weird cat. As the office’s resident “tooth nerd,” David loves to teach patients about how teeth function in health, what happens to them when they get sick or injured, and what our doctors can do to help them heal and improve their function. He enjoys telling stories, and he can’t wait to hear you tell yours.
Meet Kelli
Kelli is one of our hygienists and has been with the practice since June 2020. She is a proud graduate from The Ohio State University and has been a hygienist for 19 years.
She has an outgoing personality and spreads kindness wherever she goes! Outside of work, Kelli spends time with her husband, Aaron, and her kids, Jack and Mykena. She is an avid reader, enjoys watching Cleveland sports, and is very adept with house renovations!
Meet Kris
Kris is one of the first people you talk to at our office. She has been with us at the front desk since July 2020.
She has lived in Fairview Park most of her life. Kris attended school in the area and currently lives there with her husband, three cats, and new puppy. Outside of work she enjoys swimming, taking care of her precious animals, watching football, and swapping recipes to try out in her kitchen.
Meet Kim
Kim is a certified dental assistant and has been with Riveredge for over twenty years. She loves visiting with the patients and is a great hand holder. Patients feel comfortable with her because she has an impressive memory and knows them well. Kim lives in Lakewood with her husband and her daughter and their many pets! You may see her out and about because she loves trying new restaurants and volunteers at the APL. She also loves coffee and enjoys seeing movies (especially horror!). Kim also visits Amish Country regularly.
Meet Holly
Hi! My name is Holly and I joined the Riveredge Dentistry team in December 2016. I graduated from Cuyahoga Community College and have been a dental hygienist for 45 years with half of my career practicing in the West Park neighborhood.
I enjoy helping my young patients get started on the road to life long healthy hygiene habits and helping my teens/adults maintain their healthy smiles. The many friendships I have made along the way has been a bonus. I am active in my church and enjoy reading and Jazzercise.
